Our first war for this Barrysworld season. We have a lot of players on vacation so Sharky had to come over to my place and play on T-ReX' pc (which makes him MVP, also because of a nice performance, lagburts were however common especially the first map where we actually played with ping 150 most of the time) or we should've given a default win. Morpheus could also play so we could play 5v5.
First map: ctf2. We had a lot of trouble at the start and when everybody was ready, 2slow4u got 999. We played 4vs5 and after 5 minuts it was allready 4-0 for Murders. With 2slow4u back in the game, we could make counter caps but it was still difficult. In the last minut it was 6-4 for Murders and with all my force I could make the last cap right at 20:00 but the game was lost: 6-5.
This map (q3wctf2) started with a cross steal and we could take all their armor/mega/powerups every time, we could even kill the enemy flag carier twice but we couldn't return the flag until 5:00. After this we were going strong. Almost a cap every minut, every DX was finally playing good and almost perfectly doing his job. A lot of "defense", "red scores", "red flag returned", "excellent", "impressive", "blue flag stolen", "haste", "regeneration" and "assist" messages. Just like CTF should be ... good game all.
